One of Debbie’s and mine all time favorite songs is the Heart of Worship by Matt Redmon. The lyrics to the chorus: “I’m coming back to the heart of worship and it’s all about You; all about You, Jesus. I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it, when it’s all about You. It’s all about You, Jesus.”

For 2014, our personal theme, and direction of our Church body, is “We are coming back to the heart of worship”. There is no better time than now for us to check our pulse and make sure it is still beating hard for Christ and people. So often we can get caught up in routine and tasks that we forget why we are even doing what we are doing. We want 2014 to be a very effective year for the kingdom of God. Where that starts is with a heart check. Is it truly all about Jesus, or have I allowed a little too much me to creep in? Do I perceive my service to others as a form of worship to God, or am I looking for a pat on the back? Am I still making myself vulnerable; living openly and transparent with those I lead, or am I allowing the fear of rejection to box me up? These are just some of the questions we will be asking ourselves during this month of self-evaluation. The line in the chorus that states, “I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it, when it’s all about You. It’s all about You, Jesus.”

I’m finding myself repenting because my worship, my seeking and my prayer time has at times, been about what I could get from Him, rather than for who He is to me. We want a true heart of worship where we come into His presence because of who He is to us. It’s all about Jesus. Do you find yourself only praying when there is a great need in your life? Has prayer life and study time, your bible reading, become more of a challenge and hassle? If so it may be time for a heart check to bring your worship back to its true place- It’s all about Jesus.

     Children Christmas Celebration

    Christmas Play 2013

    Christmas 2013 2

Jamie, Amanda, and Billie are doing a fantastic job with our younger children. Many of these kids come from broken homes with little love or attention. They have discovered through many trials of how to teach them respect & honor for parents and all authority, that they are very valuable, to parents, to us, and most importantly to  Father God and Friend Jesus. They have worked hard to develop tools to make them believe in themselves and have confidence in Jesus that lives inside them through the Holy Spirit. To encourage them to reach for something bigger than themselves and then help them to stay with it till they have obtained…It’s been all God seeing what has happen in 2013 in our children’s ministry. These kids know and love Jesus and usually cry when they have to leave. We are excited about 2014.

    Our “Anna”

Anna Boyer’s trips to the jails last year sparked a revival and a deep hunger in many of the girl’s hearts. Several of those ladies are sold out for the Lord and have found their place in God’s kingdom with the Recovery Church. We baptized two of these ladies last week.  See baptisms below. Anna is still on the mission field bringing the love and life of Jesus everywhere God leads her. If you would like to keep up with, or support Anna’s journey, her web site address is below She is a light to our world!

    Men's Group 2014

We men are on a continual journey to “Discover the Power for Successful Living & How to Build Character in Our Lives”. This has been an incredible few months as we are growing into a family of men who desire to be the spiritual leaders God intends for us. We have such a freedom and liberty of Spirit among this group. We can truly be ourselves and take off the mask and communicate God’s truths to each other. Character is the number one thing destroying our families and country. We are purposing to change that one heart at a time.

    Womens Group 2014

The Women’s Life Group has grown spiritually so much in the last 3 or 4 months. We are building a sisterhood and fellow shipping with each other in a way that only God, in His power can accomplish. We have learned that it is the condition of our own hearts that God is concerned with and we are hungry and thirsty for the spiritual knowledge that the Holy Spirit alone, can bring into our lives. Two worlds are in coexistence, the natural (unconverted soul) world, and the spiritual world (of God’s Heart.).We have learned that conversion is of the soul. We are learning spiritually, how we can return to the image of Jesus, taking every thought captive and discerning whether it is from God’s Heart or from our natural thinking heart? Continually renewing our mind with spiritual answers, and trading our natural desires for the desires of God.

1 Corinthian 2:9 There are things God hath prepared for those that love him, and wait for him, which sense cannot discover, no teaching can convey to our ears, nor can it yet enter our hearts. We must take them as they stand in the Scriptures, as God hath been pleased to reveal them to us. His servant….debbie hall
